1. Different steel grades
  
All steel plates are cast with molten steel, cooled and extruded. According to the thickness, it can be roughly divided into thin plate, medium and thick plate, extra thick plate, etc., and according to the function and composition can be divided into ordinary steel plate, alloy steel plate, wear-resistant steel plate, stainless steel, etc.
  
Among them, wear-resistant steel plate belongs to the category of steel plate, which has excellent wear resistance, impact resistance and toughness. Bimetallic wear-resistant steel plate is a special steel plate that belongs to post-treatment steel plate.
  
2. Different purposes
  
Wear-resistant steel plates have excellent wear resistance and can be used under high wear conditions. Its service life is unmatched by ordinary steel plates, and its impact resistance and toughness also bring higher safety. Therefore, it is popular. In mining, machinery, coal mines, docks, cement and other industries, you can often see the figure of wear-resistant steel plates, which can greatly improve work efficiency and reduce costs.
  
3. Different rust spots
  
It is difficult to distinguish between wear-resistant steel plates and ordinary steel plates when they do not rust. Therefore, when purchasing, you must check the quality assurance certificate and other certificates provided by the manufacturer, or take samples from a third-party agency for inspection.
  
When the steel plate is rusted, it can be distinguished according to the rust traces. Ordinary steel plate rust water is more, rust point is large and thin, wear-resistant steel plate rust point is small and dense.
  
4. Different prices
  
Wear-resistant steel plate belongs to special steel, and its production process and technical requirements are much higher than ordinary steel plates. Therefore, the cost is naturally different. When buying wear-resistant steel plates, pay attention to choosing professional manufacturers, and do not be impersonated by unscrupulous merchants with ordinary steel plates, causing huge losses.
  
NM450, XAR450 and HARDOX450 wear plates have a high yield strength, about 1200Mpa, and an elongation of only about 10%. The bending radius needs to consider the rolling direction, longitudinal or transverse direction of the steel plate. Of course, the contact part of the lower mold also needs an arc transition.
